Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change. Here's our cancellation policy:
- More than 48 hours before your charter: Full refund or free rescheduling
- 24-48 hours before your charter: 50% refund or rescheduling with a fee
- Less than 24 hours before your charter: No refund, but we'll work with you to reschedule if possible
- No-shows: No refund
To cancel or reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible at 773-216-1993 or twekd1@yahoo.com.
Weather Policy
Your safety is our top priority. We monitor weather conditions closely before every charter.
- If we cancel due to weather: You'll receive a full refund or free rescheduling — your choice
- If conditions are marginal: We'll contact you to discuss options together
- Weather during your charter: If conditions become unsafe, we'll return to shore immediately
We make weather decisions based on conditions on the Fox River near McHenry, not general forecasts. Light rain doesn't necessarily mean cancellation — we'll use our judgment and keep you informed.
Safety Guidelines
We want everyone to have a safe, enjoyable experience. Please follow these guidelines:
- Listen to and follow all instructions from the captain
- Life jackets are available for all passengers — children must wear them at all times
- No swimming from the boat unless explicitly permitted by the captain
- Keep hands and feet inside the boat while moving
- No standing on seats or the bow while the boat is in motion
- Report any concerns to the captain immediately
Before departure, our captain will provide a brief safety orientation covering life jacket locations, emergency procedures, and boat-specific guidelines.
BYOB Policy
We're BYOB friendly! You're welcome to bring your own beverages to enjoy during your charter. Please follow these guidelines:
- Drink responsibly: Enjoy yourself, but please don't overdo it
- Glass containers: Allowed, but please be careful to avoid breakage
- Clean up: Please take all containers with you when you leave
- Legal age: All guests consuming alcohol must be 21 or older
- Captain's discretion: Our captain reserves the right to limit alcohol consumption if behavior becomes unsafe
We want you to have a great time. Responsible enjoyment ensures everyone stays safe and has fun.
